Create a proposal template

Create a template from a section list or a source document.

Create a template from a section list or a source document. Check the resulting outline before making it available for proposal work.

Create an outline manually

  1. Open Templates and select New Template.
  2. Enter Template Name and a description explaining when to use it.
  3. Edit Proposal Sections in their intended order. Use + Add Section for another heading and remove headings you do not need.
  4. Select Create Template and check the saved outline with Preview.

Import a document

Select Upload Template, then upload a Word document in DOC or DOCX format. Review the detected sections and placeholders, edit the name and description, and save the template when the outline is suitable. If analysis falls back to suggested sections, review the warning and correct the outline; those suggestions are not a faithful extraction of your document.

Check it in a proposal

Select the template during proposal creation and compare the generated section plan with the buyer's required response. Review an exported sample before adopting it for repeated use. Update the template when the outline is unsuitable instead of assuming that a source document's full layout has been preserved.
