Connections and exports

Email and in-app notifications

Deadline, approval, mention and comment notifications arrive in the notification centre and by email. Each person chooses which notifications they get in the app and by email, from the notification bell.

Calendar feed (ICS)

A calendar file of your organization's RFP submission deadlines and questions deadlines. A proposal kickoff also sends a calendar invite. To get the file, open Settings and, under General, select Download calendar, or select Download feed under Configured integrations. Then import the file into your calendar.

The file is downloaded while you are signed in, so it is not a public link. ProposalForge does not write into your calendar, and the screen does not connect an external calendar account. The downloaded file does not update itself, so download it again to see new or changed deadlines.

API tokens

Scoped, revocable tokens that start with pf_, for pulling your own data out of ProposalForge on a schedule. On the API tokens tab in Settings, name the token, choose what it may do and, if you want, when it expires, then select Create token. Copy the token at once: its full value is shown only once, right after you create it. To stop a token, select Revoke and record why. If you cannot create or revoke tokens, your role does not allow it.

A token authenticates the data export endpoints described in the developer documentation. ProposalForge stores only a hash of each token, and a revoked token stops working at once. Give each script its own token with only the access it needs, and revoke tokens nobody uses.

Data export

Your proposals, RFPs, assets and templates, as JSON or CSV with an API token, and as Word or PDF proposal exports from the app. An administrator can also request a complete export of the whole organization; see Data export.

Document storage

Uploaded RFPs, assets and generated exports are stored in Montreal, Canada, with access scoped to your organization.

Planned, not available yet

  • Outbound webhooks are planned; nothing delivers webhooks today.
  • Chat channel alerts, which would post your organization's activity into its own chat channel.
  • Two-way calendar sync, which would write deadlines directly into your calendar.
  • CRM sync, for opportunities, contacts and outcomes.
  • External storage providers, for importing from and exporting to cloud storage.
  • Third-party app sign-in, which would let other applications act in ProposalForge on a person's behalf.

None of these is available today. Do not plan work that depends on them.

Troubleshooting

The calendar feed lists your organization's RFP submission deadlines and questions deadlines. An RFP does not appear in it when its pursuit is finished or when its submission deadline is only a placeholder. If an expected deadline is missing, check the RFP's deadline and status, then download the feed again.

If a request made with a token is refused, check that the token has not expired or been revoked, and that it has the access the request needs. If the download fails or the problem remains, open a support ticket, naming the affected screen and the action you expected, and do not paste secrets or access tokens.
