Purpose
The objective of this project is to determine if weather-index insurance (WII) be effective in mitigating the adverse impacts of weather risk on the yield and the quality of output, while simplifying and speeding up the payment process; and, to explore how can WII products complement current Canadian BRM programs to attract farmers to participate in such an insurance product.
