Purpose

The primary goal of the Northern Circle of Youth project is to create opportunities that will support urban Indigenous youth ages 6-17 in enhancing their personal, economic and social growth in a culturally sensitive, safe and drug/alcohol-free environment. The project will offer afterschool activities and the programs, services and activities provided will be delivered in a holistic, inclusive manner that will be conducive to meeting the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the urban Indigenous youth population. Programs, services and activities will include (but are not limited to) the following components: Sports & Recreation, Health, Culture, Social Issues, Community Engagement & Leadership and Employment/Education/Training.
