Purpose
The Connections: Mi’gmaq Youth Leadership Peer Program will be designed using the Project Venture model and incorporating traditional Mi’gmaq customs to instill leadership skills amongst youth of Listuguj. The activities will consist of 12-month long cycles that follow the seasons of the year and have youth participating in discussions, team building activities, leadership workshops and cultural events. The program will be evaluated to document how it was adapted to meet the cultural needs and context of the Listuguj First Nation and to assess its effectiveness under this First Nations lens.
