Purpose
The objective of the project is to produce organic vegetables in greenhouse and field for sale through the Organic program, the on-farm store and wholesale. The farm sells to customers in Ottawa, Gatineau Chelsea, Wakefield, and Masham. The intern will learn to setup and manage all the irrigation systems on the farm, including building sprinkler, drip and fertigation systems. The intern will learn how to seed, transplant, weed, harvest, pack and sell vegetables. The intern will also learn about greenhouse and field production, irrigation, insect and weed pests.
