Purpose

This project supports the Canadian Agri-Food Automation and Intelligence Network (CAAIN). CAAIN is a national innovation network that brings together producers, technology developers, academic institutions, researchers, and industry partners to accelerate the development, testing, and adoption of advanced agricultural technologies across Canada. Through collaborative research and development projects, Smart Farm initiatives, and technology demonstration activities, CAAIN supports the application of automation, artificial intelligence, machine learning, digital agriculture, and data-driven solutions to improve productivity, sustainability, and competitiveness in Canada’s agriculture and agri-food sector. The project’s work phase is scheduled to end on September 30, 2028.
