Purpose
The “Building bridges in health” project aims to enhance the enjoyment of health and strengthen health rights among vulnerable and marginalized people in Peru, in particular Indigenous people, women and adolescent girls. Project activities include: (1) providing comprehensive training to community health actors on priority health issues, risk factors, and the provision of services for Indigenous people, women and adolescent girls; (2) providing technical and financial support for the effective implementation of the referral and cross-referral mechanism in cooperation with health facilities and health authorities; and (3) supporting public entities and local governments in the use of data to make policies and programs culturally appropriate and gender sensitive. The project aims to reach more than 12,785 people directly and 100,186 people indirectly.
