Purpose

The Defence and Security Foresight (DSF) Group will explore the three identified challenges through five regional clusters, focusing on North American Security; Sub-Saharan Africa and Multinational Stabilization Operations; Russia, Eastern Europe, and NATO; the Middle East and North Africa; and the Asia Pacific. The DSF Group will contribute to ongoing DND/CAF efforts to anticipate new challenges by providing near- and mid-term forecasting research on pivotal security flashpoints, as well as by developing analytical tools to inform policy and CAF force development.
