Purpose
This project aims to reconnect African Nova Scotians, Indigenous Peoples, and other youth of colour with the land by providing culturally relevant, youth-led agricultural education in schools across Atlantic Canada. By bringing BIPOC facilitators into schools, the organization aims to spark a movement toward food sovereignty for communities that have been historically displaced from their lands and food systems. This program is about reclaiming knowledge, fostering pride, and planting the seeds of empowerment.
