Purpose

The objective of this project is to develop/update four Codes of Practice for care and handling of farm animals and provide necessary communications to support successful Code outcomes. The Codes for transportation, dairy cattle, and goats will be updated. A Code for aquaculture will be developed. Communication activities will support broad Code awareness, implementation, and support, while building consumer/buyer confidence about how farm animals are raised and transported, and standards are developed in Canada.
