Purpose
This project aims to improve upon the pilot National Index of Agri-Food Performance tool to align the entire agricultural sector on how sustainability should be measured. This involves an Index pilot, addressing data gaps and learning from applying it, to more credibly back-up sustainability claims, enabling competitiveness and enhancing trust. Doing so is essential to help deliver on Canada's ambition to be a recognized world sustainability leader.
