Purpose
The objective of this project aims to support the Alberta pork industry in the event that African Swine Fever (ASF) arrives in Canada. Specifically, Alberta Pork is seeking to implement new approaches to: producer education on ASF; biosecurity; eradication of wild boar at large, biocontainment; and, equipment and training for on-farm response for field staff in industry, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and the Alberta Government that will be faced with containing and stamping out the disease.
