Purpose
This 72-month project is based on the principle of mobilizing new funds and partnerships to address gender-based violence (GBV) and women’s economic security. The focus of this project will be on GBV and economic security in rural, remote and northern communities and emerging issues, along with advancing gender equality for girls and women throughout Canada. In addition to providing direct contribution funding, the project will also provide capacity building supports for community-based organizations and grassroots initiatives within these communities. The project includes a matched investment of $10,000,000.
