Purpose
Healthy and Productive Work (HPW), a joint initiative between SSHRC and CIHR, was designed to reflect the interplay between health research, the social sciences and the humanities, in responding to the growing interest in maintaining a healthy, productive and inclusive Canadian workforce. The goal of the initiative is to develop partnerships that enable reciprocal flow and uptake of research knowledge between researchers and stakeholders, in order to produce evidence-informed and gender-responsive solutions to foster the labour force participation of men and women with health issues and disabilities, as well as older workers with caregiving responsibilities outside their paid work.
