Purpose
IOM is Member State led international organization with 174 members. Annual assessed contributions (membership fees), which are defined by the UN scale of assessment in consultation with Member States, provide Canada with the opportunity to participate in the organization's governance structure, directly influence the development of IOM programs and policies and shape the global migration agenda in ways that align with Canada’s values and priorities on migration and protection.
