Purpose
This grant represents Canada’s long-term institutional support to the Government of Jordan. The Jordanian Ministry of Health uses these funds, along with other donors’ funding, to ensure better health outcomes for hundreds of thousands of Syrian and non-Syrian refugees, particularly women and girls. Along with other donors, Canada’s contribution offsets the additional costs of providing health services to Syrians through Jordan’s public health system. Project activities include: (1) providing primary and secondary health care services in Ministry of Health facilities; and (2) procuring medicines, medical solutions, consumables, and supplies.
