Purpose

The main objectives of the project will contribute to improve information integrity throughout the 2023 electoral cycle in Liberia, Nigeria, and Sierra Leone, as well as to strengthen civil society’s ability to combat disinformation and hate speech throughout the region. Activities will support partners to implement innovative methodologies based on the local information environment to promote open, authentic, and fact-based political discourse throughout the 2023 electoral cycle, and contribute to regional resources in the form of tools, best practices, and lessons learned to combat disinformation and hate speech, and in particular, its gendered forms.
