Purpose
This project aims to empower Canadian small and medium organizations (SMOs) and their partners in the Global South. It provides flexible funding, capacity-building, and public engagement opportunities to support poverty reduction and address key development challenges, such as gender equality. The project helps SMOs design and implement impactful development projects by removing barriers like limited funding and insufficient capacity. The project supports over 550 SMOs in Canada and their partners in the Global South, including approximately 150 SMOs in Canada receiving funding. It also seeks to engage over 400 representatives of diverse SMOs in Canada and their local partners through self-directed learning opportunities, accompaniment during application processes, and select facilitated learning exchange initiatives.
