Purpose
The project will retrofit a building to create a community kitchen and food incubator by improving an unoccupied existing downtown asset at 60 Main Street North in the City of Brampton to make it accessible and retrofitted with environmentally friendly materials and efficient appliances. The building will be available to food entrepreneurs, home cooks and those wanting to take packaged products to market, while being compliant with post-COVID-19 health protocols and bringing people back to shared spaces. Approximately 10% of additional seasonal space will be available in the adjacent and rear laneways in the form of a patio and outdoor kitchen.
