Purpose
Design and planning project for the addition of a bike path along the length of Tashmoo Avenue, a main road in the First Nation. The Community has identified a bike path as a priority through a Comprehensive Community Plan as a solution to promote healthy lifestyles, increase accessibility and enhance safety. The road is high traffic with narrow, unpaved shoulders that do not allow for the road to be safely shared with cyclists or pedestrians. The end results will provide design and engineering plans required to cost and submit a capital project application.
