Purpose

The design will include a steel bridge forming part of the Grand Promenade and Trans Canada Trail in Waterloo Park. This design project will provide the design for the City of Waterloo Active Transportation Fund capital application for the Pedestrian Bridge #12, Rehabilitation/Replacement to be constructed in 2025, this projects will provide the following community benefits: Safer connections to the broader city active transportation network for active commuting and recreational trips, providing equity to all active users including vulnerable persons, persons with disabilities, children and low income families.
