Purpose
This project will improve the City of Iqaluit’s water supply system through the creation of a new reservoir and will improve the city’s water distribution system. The new and upgraded infrastructure will also be designed and built to mitigate current and future impacts of climate change. Once complete, it is expected that all residents in the City of Iqaluit will have reliable access to clean drinking water. Additionally, the project will significantly reduce economic losses and disruptions in the community that are created by water shortages.
