Purpose
This project aims to develop biosecurity recommendations and design concepts to reduce disease transmission risks associated with assembly. Assembly is a connection point between Canada and the U.S. through contact points with Canadian farms and U.S. slaughter facilities. Should a new or emerging disease such as ASF enter the U.S., assembly is a significant risk for disease transmission into Canada and onto Canadian farms.
