The department has a requirement for the provision of a contractor to develop and test a new software application to support the modernisation of the passport program aligned with the Government of Canada’s plans for technology and technological change. The contractor will develop and test a new software application that will allow Canadians to apply online for passports, using a computer, tablet or mobile device, as a convenient alternative to mail-in or in-person options. This contract supports the department’s delivery of its core mandate and contributes to the department’s digital vision.
