Description

1.0 TITLE Concrete Pile Jacket Repairs – Meteghan Small Craft Harbour for Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) 2.0 SCOPE OF WORK This project consists of the rehabilitation of existing wharf bearing piles at the Meteghan Small Craft Harbour in Digby County, Nova Scotia. The work includes the removal of deteriorated concrete, above-water and underwater concrete repairs, and the supply and installation of new fibre-reinforced concrete pile jackets. The project will require marine construction and professional diving services. The scope also includes installation of temporary access and scaffolding, implementation of environmental protection measures such as turbidity control, management of debris and waste, and coordination with harbour users. The Contractor is responsible for all labour, materials, equipment, marine access, environmental controls, health and safety measures, inspections, and coordination with Fisheries and Oceans Canada. 3.0 SITE FAMILIARIZATION Before submitting a bid, bidders can visit the site and its surroundings, at their own expense and schedule, to review and verify the form, nature, and extent of the work, materials needed for the completion of the work, the means of access to the site, site remoteness, severity, exposure, and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions, any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies, and other circumstances which may influence or affect their bid. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on account or error or negligence to properly observe and determine the conditions that will apply. Take all appropriate safety measures for any visit to site, either before or after acceptance of bid. 4.0 LOCATION Meteghan, Digby County, NS 5.0 DELIVERY All work must be completed no later than March 31st, 2027.
