Purpose

The Youth Resiliency Project (YRP) is a response to a demonstrated need for culturally relevant and engaging pro-social youth justice programming that supports successful intervention, reintegration and self-development for youth in the justice system in Nunavut and Northwest Territories. The YRP is truly unique in that all project activities will be aligned with Inuit principles and supports youth in setting personalized goals in the areas of community service, skill development, physical activity and outdoor exploration. These goals engage participants in purposeful pro-social activities that help them build resiliency and support them in making meaningful connections to their community.
