Purpose
The objective of this Project is to improve the understanding of wildfire risks in all sectors of society, and to enhance the whole-of-society wildfire prevention and mitigation activities. This Project will increase the wildfire knowledge available to agencies, Indigenous communities, and individuals to help create a culture of wildfire safety; and increase the resiliency of Canadian Indigenous communities to the risks and impacts of wildland fires. The Proponent will continue the First Nations Wildfire Evacuation Partnership focussing on developing partnerships of First Nations, agency partners, and researchers.
