Purpose

The objective of this Project is to: improve and extend the existing forest growth-hydrology model to simulate post-wildfire hydrologic regimes, both immediately following wildfire and during post-fire forest regeneration; develop and test model-based strategies for assessing post-wildfire flood risk in light of significant uncertainty in post-burn hydrologic response; and apply the model in multiple Canadian landscapes with contrasting fire and hydrologic regimes.
