Purpose

The Alberta FILU will continue to provide services to families of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, 2SLGBTQ+ people, and men and boys. They will gather information, provide navigation to resources, raise awareness, prepare healing plans and hold talking circles. The FILU will continue with engagement of Indigenous communities, and with their established relationships with police, courts and victims’ services and the Alberta prosecutor’s office.
