Purpose
This 24-month project will address barriers to Indigenous women’s employment from a culturally relevant gender based perspective, inclusive of Indigenous and trans women, non-binary and Two-Spirit individuals. Through the development of a community-driven training program, employers and managers from the private and public sectors will be trained to evaluate their organizational structures and identify systemic barriers to Indigenous women’s economic security within their workplace. Specific opportunities for Indigenous women, non-binary and Two-spirit employees will be implemented to ensure sustainable solutions to common workplace barriers.
