Assembly of First Nations/National Indian Brotherhood (AFN)

Purpose

This 36-month project will improve First Nations women's access to a range of unique supports required to access educational and employment opportunities leading to their increased participation in management and executive positions. Through the project, First Nations women across Canada will be engaged to identify barriers to their economic security and participation in leadership roles. In collaboration with governments, institutions and private sector stakeholders, a comprehensive strategic framework will be developed and implemented across Canada to advance action on identified socioeconomic barriers and increase First Nations women’s participation in leadership roles.
