Purpose

The Sectoral Initiatives Program invests in the development of high quality labour market information products, national occupational standards, certification and accreditation regimes and other creative solutions in order to: better understand emerging skills requirements as well as the sector and geographic locations of current and future jobs; minimize skills shortages and mismatches within and across sectors in Canada; and to ultimately contribute to a skilled, adaptable and inclusive labour force and an efficient labour market.
