Purpose
The Joint Peace Fund (JPF) is a multi-donor initiative established in 2015 to support Myanmar’s national efforts in achieving a lasting resolution to the armed conflict. It seeks to foster broad-based participation in implementing the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement. The Fund facilitates better coordination and alignment among donors. It aims to enable them to collaborate with the Myanmar government and ethnic armed organizations to negotiate and implement an inclusive peace process. Also, it supports Phase II of the JPF (2023 to 2027). Project activities include: (1) enhancing conflict monitoring and management systems; and (2) enabling stakeholders effectively in dialogues and coordination, to help achieve an inclusive, long-term, and peaceful resolution to the conflict in Myanmar.
