Purpose

This project, implemented by the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces, aims to increase human security and gender equality among the migrant, refugee and host communities in Lebanon. Project activities include: (1) establishing a mediation unit and providing mediation training within Lebanon's General Security (GS) force; (2) implementing a gender training program at the GS academy; (3) implementing small community-based projects in refugee-hosting communities; and (4) facilitating public policy debates and gender, security and migration.
