Purpose

This project aims to increase awareness and use of Red Flag laws on Central Alberta post-secondary campuses to prevent firearm-related harm by focusing on early intervention in cases involving mental health, gender-based violence, and campus threats—particularly among equity-deserving groups such as Indigenous, 2SLGBTQI+ (Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, intersex, and other sexually and gender diverse), and newcomer students—with the ultimate goal of building safer, more inclusive campus communities
