Purpose
P002743001: This project aims to enhance community resilience, and mainstream a comprehensive disaster management approach in three Caribbean countries, namely Belize, Saint Vincent, and the Grenadines and Suriname. The project aims to achieve this through supporting targeted vulnerable communities in organizing themselves, and preparing for natural disasters and crises. Also by strengthening comprehensive disaster management at the national and local levels. Project activities include: (1) assessment of the current level of knowledge in disaster preparedness; 2) training in basic skills to deal with disasters and risks; and 3) training, knowledge sharing, and workshops on leadership in disaster risk management.
