Purpose
Whispering Pines / Clinton Indian Band is located north of Kamloops along the North Thompson River. This project is to address and protect the loss of valuable community land and infrastructure through restoration work. It will stabilize approximately 130 lineal meters of the shoreline through a structurally sound bioengineered revetment solution and protect local wildlife. It will also create fish habitat and directly mitigate against the harmful effects of heatwaves by providing shade for that habitat.
