Purpose
Priority is to bring the current cache items to standard that is reliable and consistent with the cache other teams nationwide are using. This will be done in conjunction with developing cache items that are currently not available or because of normal lifecycle issues have become obsolete or are approaching a point of operational failure. The focus will be identifying gaps in equipment that may negatively affect our ability to respond and provide heavy rescue and /or urban search. We will focus on items that allow for the efficient deployment of an effective force of HUSAR equipped rescuers capable of sustained HUSAR type deployment. The assessment and maintenance of current Cache to a level that is current with TF’s across the nation, to include lifecycle replacement and procurements to allow CANTF-5 to begin providing response capability to a variety of man- made or natural disasters. A complete, functional, current and well, maintained cache is critical to CANTF-5 maintenance of HUSAR capacity.
