Purpose
This three-year project will continue to maintain Canada Task Force 1's (CANTF-1) classification as a Heavy Urban Search and Rescue and all hazards response team. The focus will be enhancing skillsets and completing the training requirements of the Task Force's 12 special teams. This includes training in technical rescue, water/boat rescue, canine/K9 search, disaster medical application, communications, remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS), engineering, heavy equipment rigging, water purification, and incident management. A full-scale deployment exercise will be completed to demonstrate the Task Force's ability to deploy effectively and perform an all hazard response.
