Purpose

The Inuit Impact and Benefit Agreement (IIBA) provides contribution funding over ten years under a flexible contribution model to support the KIA for the establishment and operation of the Inuit Implementation Committee for the Wrecks of HMS Erebus and HMS Terror National Historic Site, which is a joint KIA Parks Canada committee to oversee the implementation of the IIBA including reporting on results achieved, hiring of a liaison person for the Kitikmeot Inuit Association, and the review of the Inuit Impact and Benefit Agreement in Year 7.
