Purpose
This contribution supports the implementation of ecological restoration projects on 30 different properties to recover approximately 50 metres of stream, 3.5 hectares of invasive species management, 32.8 hectares of aquatic, riparian and terrestrial habitat in Rouge National Urban Park and infill planting across 10 hectares of previously restored habitat. This will improve ecological integrity in two major watershed ecosystems in the Greater Toronto Area and support ecosystem health in the park and its neighboring communities.
