Purpose
The project proposes to reduce the potential for flooding and sanitary back up due to raising water level and climate change. The project consists of replacing the current gravity based storm water and sanitary overflow outlets with five new storm water pumping stations and a new sanitary bypass pumping station in order to address high water levels that have blocked the sanitary overflow outlet. The project will Increase capacity to adapt to climate change impacts, natural disasters and extreme weather events. The project would begin construction in 2022 and end in 2027.
