Purpose
The project consists of three assets: enlarging and upgrading the Noroît permanent reservoir by using phytotechnology to increase its capacity; digging a retention basin in a park, to allow infiltration and retention of stormwater through phytotechnology rather than direct runoff to the pipe system; and implementing a 450 hectares biodiversity corridor in the borough to create ecological connectivity between natural environments, parks and green spaces. This will improve the retention of runoff water, thereby reducing the risk of flooding in this sector but also reducing heat islands.
