Purpose
The purpose of this research project is to formulate a formal mathematical model to study which mechanisms could influence a State's decision to finance a foreign rebel group and to what extent it will do so. The purpose of this modeling is also to explain the complex dynamics of coalitions between the multiple rebel organizations in a country and the different States willing to support them.
