Purpose
The Women in International Security (WIIS)-Canada workshop is a three-day event, which focuses on international affairs, and security and defence. The workshop’s theme is particularly relevant in the Canadian context, given the federal government’s recently launched National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security, and commitment to feminist foreign policy, both of which acknowledges that women experience violence and security differently than men.
