Purpose

This project aims to protect public safety on roadways in Canada by equipping law enforcement with the training, tools and technology necessary to enforce new and existing drug-impaired driving legislation, and to deter through research, public awareness and the development of evidence-based policies. Funding is provided for law enforcement training on SFST, DRE and ADSE use; procurement and deployment of ADSE; public awareness and education; data collection and research to monitor activities, outcomes and trends.
