Ottawa Music Industry Coalition

Purpose

This project is an alternative approach to recovery that combines trauma-informed therapy, collaborative songwriting, peer support, and healing circles. The project aims to address critical needs faced by survivors of sexual violence within the military by creating safe, inclusive spaces where survivors can share their experiences and collaborate with artists to express their voices. The project includes song writing, individual counselling, peer-led groups, healing circles, and educational outreach. Programming will be offered in English and French and be based in Ottawa, with virtual access available across Canada.
