Purpose

The British Columbia Government Office of Crime Reduction project is designed to bridge the gap between community level prevention and individual disengagement from violent extremism. This project will adopt and apply best practices from existing intervention programs and initiatives across the country, and evaluate their effectiveness in reducing violent extremism. British Columbia CRV will be a partnership involving law enforcement, government, and community stakeholders, and will see the establishment of multi-agency initiatives across the province, and the use of ongoing measurement and evaluation to further develop best practices.
