Purpose
The Project is a part of an effort to experimentally demonstrate incoherent clocking. The Project will focus on providing two low-noise amplifiers (LNAs) operating between 400MHz and 1.8GHz, one mm-wave 50-to-100GHz LNA, and a 116GS/s 4-level sampler for optical interferometer. The low-frequency LNAs are components of the "ARTTA-4" demonstrator telescope, utilizing four of the existing NRC-DRAO Synthesis Telescope antennas, to demonstrate the incoherent clocking method by observing astronomical radio sources. The custom integrated-circuit implementation of the mm-wave LNA and sampler will be researched.
